Dean Tesic - Founder / Owner
Registered Physiotherapist & Ontario Certified Teacher
Welcome to Zoom Physiotherapy. I completed my Physical Therapy training at the University of Toronto in 1996. Prior to relocating to the Kawartha Lakes, I worked at university affiliated teaching hospitals; Holland Orthopaedic & Arthritic Institute & Women’s College Hospital. I have been serving the local community since 2010.
My clinical focus has been on both in-patient and out-patient orthopaedics, having extensive experience with total joint arthroplasty and post surgical/post trauma rehab. I held clinical lecturer status from 2001-2009 at the University of Toronto and was employed by the Department of Physical Therapy at U of T as a lab demonstrator from 2003-2007.
Here at Zoom we provide a systematically thorough & evidence-based approach to assessment and treatment. This approach is underpinned by a patient-centered focus and collaboration with the patient’s other health care providers to produce exceptional results.
I completed training through the McKenzie Institute International and received credentials in mechanical diagnosis and therapy in 2000.
In 2009 I completed my Bachelor of Education at the University of Toronto. I embraced the philosophy of lifelong learning. One of my goals is to help my clients understand difficult concepts with easy to understand analogies. I truly believe that if knowledge is power then helping people to understand that knowledge is like putting that power in motion.
Zoom Physiotherapy is a state-of-the-art facility utilizing technology and time proven best practice techniques to help clients realize their mobility goals.
Our guiding credo is “Precision... Perseverance... Performance” We assess and treat with precision then apply the best techniques with exceptional perseverance until we achieve your performance goals.
